In terms of design, the new Thar Roxx inevitably draws comparisons to its 3-door predecessor. Although the new model retains the iconic look that has garnered widespread admiration, there are several notable updates. At the front, the Thar Roxx features the same circular headlamps, now updated with semi-circle LED DRLs. The front grille has also been subtly redesigned for a fresh appearance. The side profile showcases a longer body with an extra set of doors, accompanied by new alloy wheels. The rear maintains the familiar silhouette, but with redesigned LED tail lamps for a more contemporary feel.

The most significant enhancement in the Thar Roxx is the inclusion of exclusive features, some of which surpass those available in the Scorpio N. The Thar Roxx will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof, Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, automatic headlamps, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, a wireless charger, rear AC vents, Harman Kardon speakers, and much more. Inside, the SUV promises a premium experience, featuring soft-touch materials and a sophisticated white interior theme.
Upcoming Mahindra Thar Roxx: Engine Specifications
Initially, it was anticipated that the Thar Roxx would offer engine options from the current Thar and the Scorpio N. However, recent insights have provided exact power figures. The Thar Roxx will be available with a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 150 bhp and 350 Nm of torque for the base variant, and 170 bhp and 370 Nm for the higher variant. The petrol models will be powered by a 2.0-litre engine producing 160 bhp and 330 Nm for the base variants, and 175 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque for the higher variants. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Upcoming Mahindra Thar Roxx: Price
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is likely to be offered in both RWD and 4X4 variants. The RWD variants are expected to start at around Rs 15 lakh (on-road), while the 4X4 models could go up to Rs 30 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). The increased cost is largely due to the new features and the updated Scorpio N platform, which is now 40 kg lighter.
